Be Doers of the Word

James 1:22-25
New King James Version (NKJV)
“22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

I merely translate this as we are to be what he has called us to be and do what he has called us to do. The life of ministering in the Lord is the life of a doer, one who is willing to do the work of the kingdom of heaven.
We are called to being like Christ and then we are called to do what Christ did. We are His ambassadors, His representatives. Within the model prayer He taught on earth as it is in Heaven.

Those of us that are His remnant must continue to strive for Holiness.
We must continue to strive to be His Kingdom of the earth. We must not be merely preachers, but doers of the word as well. The preaching was just a portion of the work that He had come to do. He puts the preaching to work.

In Matthew chapter 8, A man with leprosy approaches and says “Lord if you are willing you can make me clean” All things that are of God happen in accordance to the will of God. A Leprous man seems to have some understanding of the will of God. Every salvation is a miracle, every healing, every miracle, every gift of the Spirit occurs as a result of the will of God. Every Godly blessing of any type occurs as a result of the will of God.

We must do the will of the Lord. Take some time today to be a doer of the word. Lets put what He has placed within us to work.
